1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
a. To clean and prepare new, used ,demos and courtesy vehicles.
b. To valet customers' vehicles as detailed following service or body repairs.
c. To maintain the vehicle display areas in a clean and tidy condition.
d. To deliver or collect vehicles.
e. To ensure site maintenance procedures are followed.

3. OBJECTIVES AND KEY TASKS
3.1 Customer satisfaction:
To ensure that all vehicles are prepared/cleaned to a high standard.
3.2 Cost control:
a. To maintain a record of materials and consumables used.
b. To minimise wastage of such materials and consumables.
c. To care for all equipment and tools belonging to the dealership.
d. To take care not to cause accidental damage to vehicles and components whilst being moved, cleaned or prepared.
4. LIMITS OF AUTHORITY
Control and training of assigned cleaners.
5. MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS
a. To clean and prepare all vehicles, new and used, as detailed by Sales Manager's job order forms.
b. To wash and clean all externally displayed vehicles on a regular basis.
c. To dust and/or polish all internally displayed vehicles on a regular basis.
d. To maintain both internal and external display areas in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
e. To start up and run each externally displayed vehicle each morning (at discretion of Sales Manager).
f. To report any damage or component deficiencies which have occurred on the external display area.
g. To maintain all lights, pennants, ad-boards, etc. on the external display area.
h. To deliver and collect vehicles from the storage compound.
i. To report any irregularities which may have occurred in the storage compound.
j. To collect and/or deliver vehicles from and to other locations as directed by the Sales Manager.
6. EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
a. Must hold a full clean driving licence, free from endorsements.
b. Must be trained in the use of solvents, abrasive cleaning materials, and cleaning equipment.
c. Must have dealership experience of cleaning vehicles.
d. Must be aware of legislation governing the use of unregistered/untaxed vehicles on the public highway.
e. Must be able to organise and direct cleaning staff as necessary.
f. NVQ Level 1, Vehicle Valeting
7. MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES FOR RESULTS
All new vehicle stock, demonstrators and used vehicle stock to be prepared to specified standard within times specified
